What the hell is going on?!

I asked this question myself as my good friend and supporter (Danke, Michael G!) has noticed that there was something wrong with my website. This is the short story about the evil.

What happened? I don’t know exactly, but somehow someone hacked into my website and made it redirect somewhere else. That wouldn’t be the worst part though. At the destination point of the redirection there was a site which tries to download and infect users’ computers with some kind of virus. The only thing I could do at that moment was to shut my site down, to prevent you - my friends - from the thread.

If you have visited the site on November 18th and have been redirected off my site, I would recommend you to scan your computers for viruses, trojans or other malware. Otherwise you are safe. Please, accept my apology for any inconvenience, this issue might cause to you. I am terrified and deeply sorry for what happened.

Actually I cannot understand the reason for this attack. There was nothing at my server that would be worth stealing it. Moreover, anything that has ever been promoted or published on this site, was always for free and should bring pleasure to the readers/listeners. So I consider this attack for lame and stupid.

To the hacker(s): Thanks a lot for your effort. Next time, please, choose something more difficult to hack than a wordpress installation. Plus, try to hack a site where you can get something valueable! Also feel free to download anything that is downloadable for free. You don’t need to hack a site to do so!

I think these people use sites and redirects like what happened your site to gain access to others computers, for passwords and information to help them steal something. I think you were only used as an access point.

I haven’t ever heard of this kind of sneaky attack, and I think you were the one really attacked. They used you as a middleman to attack us more than you really. Its good you shut the site down and cleaned up the problem.

Sad that some out there only want to cause us harm. They will have their day in hell.
